there was a newspaper that had a comic drawing of a guy holding his hands out like this...I liked the pose so i copied it for this drawing. yes if i blatantly copied a pose from somewhere else, Ill admit it. I wish I wasnt so bad at anatomy so i wouldnt have to do that(just compare this with the last Chamber pic I did with the guitar & youll see the difference). Unfortunaley I dont remember who did the original art. I didnt think this would turn out this decent really.
anyway its like he's overwhelmed by his own bio energy or something like that...meh.
how's the coloring? Im very new at using Photoshop
Whoa...it looks like a screen cap from an animated show! And hey, it's okay to copy poses. XD I still do that sometimes, when I don't know how to do it. The coloring and shading's very nice, and makes it look very proffesional. And I love the hands. They remind me of the style Mulan used. Great picture, it really caught my eye!
thanks! actually some of the coloring was an accident. Im still new to using Photoshop & some of the lighting was result of pressing the wrong tool or key but I liked how it looked so i left it, hehe... hooray for happy accidents.
*sigh* using reference for a pose is waaaaaaay different than copying. If that were the case, any artist that uses a model would be considered a 'copier'
Now, that aside, it's a great piece with a really nice use of design and color
thanks, but I did sorta copy cuz i traced his pose(I didnt trace his exact drawing though) I sorta sketched out the position of the head in relation to the the hands. The original drawing was a sort of graffiti gangsta type thing. So the two drawings are the same basic size but they look totally different. so yeah I copied...
